Learn how to get the Microsoft Office desktop apps for free, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, if you're an eligible student or educator. These steps apply only to Office Professional Plus, Visio Professional, or Project Professional. Step 1: Start an Office app, like Word, Project, or Visio, depending on your purchase. Students

It’s important that you complete the first step before attempting to download the software directly from.
3. With programs like Word and Excel for Mac, it’s no wonder that the MS Office suite is a must-download on any computer. Microsoft Office for Mac 2019 includes the most modern versions of Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, and OneNote. These apps are all available for download at the Mac App Store. Alternatively, with Office 365 for Mac, you can.

Students must be enrolled and registered for classes at Boise State. Registration status is verified on the tenth day of each semester.

The Microsoft 365 license for students expires 30 days following graduation, or when you are no longer actively enrolled and registered for classes at Boise State.

Once your license expires, you will be able to view Microsoft 365 files using the software and will not be able to edit those files. You do not lose access to the software over the summer or winter breaks if you are enrolled for the following semester.

Employees

Faculty and staff must be current employees in order to download and use Microsoft 365 applications through the Microsoft 365 for Students program.

Microsoft Office 365 Student Free

Office 365 ProPlus allows currently enrolled (or employed) UWM students, faculty, and staff to download the latest version of the Microsoft Office ProPlus 365 suite at no cost. Once you are no longer enrolled or employed at UWM, your subscription will expire.

All students, faculty, and staff with an active Office 365 account may install the Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus suite which includes: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneNote, Publisher, Skype for Business, and Access (Windows only). UWM emeritus faculty and annuitants cannot download the latest version of Microsoft Office ProPlus 365 suite at no cost.

On University-owned computers, you can install Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus from Software Center on Windows or Self Service on Mac. For questions about Microsoft Office for University-owned computers, please call the UWM Help Desk at 414-229-4040 or submit a request via the Get Tech Help web portal.

Follow the steps below to download and install Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus for Windows or Mac onto your computer.

• Log in to Office 365 Portal (http://portal.office.com/Home) using your UWM email address and ePanther password
• After logging in, click on the Install Office apps and select Office 2016 (clicking on this begins the installation of the ProPlus Suite).
  

• Follow the prompts to install the software package (.pkg for Mac, .exe for Windows). When asked to enter your account credentials, enter your UWM email address and ePanther password.
• Once your credentials are verified, Office 365 ProPlus will now be activated on your machine.
  

• You may install Microsoft Office on up to 5 devices.
• If you don't have any installs left, you can deactivate an install on one computer and install Office on another.
• Installing additional languages on a computer that already has this version of Office doesn't count against your install limit.
